Site analytics. When you visit VOA.TODAY, we automatically record which pages you view, how long you spend on them, your approximate location (city/region/country, derived from your IP address), your device type, and the site that referred you here. Your IP address itself is never stored — it is cryptographically hashed (one-way, irreversible) before being written to our database, and the hash rotates daily so it cannot be used to track you across days.
Contact form. If you message us through our Contact page, we store your name, email address, and message so we can respond to you.
We do not use cookies for tracking, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third parties.
Analytics help us understand which stories and segments reach people, and from where, so we can report better. Contact form data exists solely so we can read and respond to what you send us.
Aggregate analytics and contact messages are visible only to VOA.TODAY's admin team. Reporters can see messages specifically routed to their own published work, but not site-wide analytics or other reporters' messages.
